In the winter the snow is wet and heavy. The damp cold feels colder than the dry cold. There is some rain in spring, summer, and fall. Summer is warm and humid.
A long, warm and waterproof coat is important. A coat with a waterproof shell and a warm removable lining or a warm coat and separate rain jacket will be good.
Layers are the key to staying warm. Thermals and sweaters and for Sisters, fleece lined tights are very important! Also consider a heated vest or coat.
The most recommended boots for Elders and Sisters are Blundstone and Sorel.
Also get merino wool socks to keep feet warm.
Sisters wear Dr. Maretens most frequently as their everyday shoe.
