Climate: Hot, humid summers and Cold, sometimes icy, and snowy winters. The humidity makes it feel really hot and really cold.
You will need clothing for all seasons.
The key to staying warm in the winter is lots of layers. Also consider heated gloves and a heated vest. A trick in the winter is to carry a golf ball in your pocket to knock on doors without removing your gloves.
It is mostly a driving mission for Elders and Sisters because it covers a large area. You still do a fair bit of walking though, so invest in comfortable shoes. Sorel boots and Blundstone boots have been most recommended.
Sisters wear pants for every day stuff a lot in this mission. The apartments also have closets full of clothes left behind from other missionaries, so you can easily pick up new things along the way.
While, you do carry a sling bag for every day, bring a backpack for exchanges and transfers.
Also bring extra Pday clothes!
You end up using a lot of post-it notes to leave messages on doors, so have a good supply of those and some pens.
