Washington Tacoma Mission
United States · Pacific Northwest United States
washington map outline

It’s very wet! The moisture can make the cold feel extra cold here, so layers in the winter is best.

They do not carry umbrellas in the Pacific Northwest. You will want a WATERPROOF rain coat- one that is a little longer for better coverage.

Get some good waterproof boots. Blundstone and Dr. Martens have been noted as best. They should be easy to slip on and off, as to not track wet boots into people’s homes.

It is nice to have rechargeable hand warmers, thermals, and (for Sisters) fleece lined tights for winter.
