It is very humid and hot in the summer. Spring and fall are warm. It does get cold in the winter.

While it gets cold, it is not super heavy winter coat cold, but you will need a coat. A 3 in 1 with a zip out liner is a great option. You will want a rain jacket or to use your 3 in 1 as a rain jacket.

You do A LOT of service in this mission, so bring extra clothing to work and work out in, more than what is suggested. Work gloves are very nice to have. Bring good tennis shoes!

Get a waterproof bag or waterproof spray. It can rain sporadically even on sunny days.

It is nice to carry around cloths to wipe off sweat while out and about.

It is the Bible Belt, so knowing the New Testament is pretty helpful.

Sisters do not bike, they have cars. The couple areas of biking are Elder areas and bikes are provided.

Elders: mostly short sleeved shirts and thin, moisture wicking golf pants. Serve shirts are liked a lot in this mission. Under Armour is well liked for pants and they are durable enough for the biking. You do not need any blue shirts for this mission.
You can wear light colored suits.

Sisters: loose, flowy dresses without any extra layers work best in the heat. Sisters tend to wear more dresses than slacks, but they are worn. Denim skirts that are not too tight are allowed.

You drive more than walk in this mission.
Shoe recommendations for Elders are ECCO, Dr. Marten, and Cole Haan.
Sisters like to wear closed toed sandals have a strap on the heel best in summer. Dr. Marten Mary Janes are recommended a lot as well. They also wear boots in the winter.

A sling bag is used for day to day, just make sure it’s comfy on your shoulder for long days. You’ll want a backpack for transfers and exchanges.

While the temple does have clothing, they are limited with the amount available, so sisters sometimes needed to borrow dresses from ward members. It is nice for missionaries to just have their own if you have space. It is not essential though.

Sisters with curly hair recommend Color WOW Dream Coat the best for helping with frizz.

Serve shirts have a ventilation panel in the side of the shirt making them noticeably more breathable. Missionaries serving in hot or humid places absolutely RAVE about this feature. The most popular shirt for hot-climate missions, for sure.
