California Sacramento Mission
United States · Western United States
california map outline

The summers get really HOT, and usually hit triple digits. It can get pretty rainy there. Winters are pretty mild, rarely freezing, but the mission does cover the Foothills where they do occasionally get snow and can get somewhat cold. Missionaries suggest waiting to buy anything a little warmer until in the mission to see if it is even needed.

Missionaries don't really need winter coats, but will need a good rain coat and a few sweaters.

Elders will be glad they packed 2 suits. While they are in white shirts and golf pants much of the time, suits are worn at conferences, church, baptisms and they do get used. 6-8 pair of Golf pants should be plenty. 6-8 short sleeved shirts, 4-6 long sleeved shirts and some plain t-shirts for service and pdays.

Pack 2 pair of shoes with thick soles and a pair of tennis shoes for service and pdays.
No need to send bedding- the mission provides that.
