Fresno covers a large area, so missionaries could be in a lot of the surrounding towns or up in the hills. Because of this, there is a variety of weather, but always HOT in the summer. It is consistently in the 100s. The winters are cool-ish (in the 30s-40s), so sweaters and a light coat are all you need. It also rains a fair amount, so a good rain jacket is nice. In some of the more rural areas, winter fog is an issue.
