Bring good work clothes including a hat and work gloves for service days. You do a lot of service in this mission.
Opportunities for serving on the Navajo reservation is possible.
Extra clothing, including garments and socks is very nice to have. There can be long stretches where you can't get to a distribution center and only have so much time for laundry each week.
Good, durable, and comfortable shoes are so, so helpful in this mission.
Several missionaries prefer Dr. Martens or Blundstone boots for the colder months, but maybe wait to purchase them until you know if you will be serving in an area that will even need boots.

Serve shirts have a ventilation panel in the side of the shirt making them noticeably more breathable. Missionaries serving in hot or humid places absolutely RAVE about this feature. The most popular shirt for hot-climate missions, for sure.
